In an endocrine long feedback loop the first hormone, for example TSH, stimulates the target tissue, in this case the thyroid, to produce a second hormone: T3 and T4.
The second hormone acts to inhibit the release of the first hormone (TSH) and, where appropriate, its releasing hormone (TRH)
