There are many methods for endoscopic thermal ablation of neoplasms:

  • BICAP
  • Nd:YAG laser photocoagulation
  • rollerball coagulation

The first two have been used extensively in the palliation or cure of oesophageal, gastric and colorectal lesions. The Nd:Yag laser has also been used to treat uterine leiomyoma and menorrhagia.
