A tachyarrhythmia is defined as a heart rate in excess of 100 bpm.

The main tachyarrhythmias are:

  • sinus tachycardia
  • atrial ectopics
  • atrial flutter
  • atrial fibrillation
  • atrial tachycardia
  • re-entrant tachycardias
  • pre-excitation syndromes
  • ventricular ectopics
  • ventricular tachycardia
