Moon face is a phrase used to describe the appearance of deposition of adipose tissue in around the face of someone with hypercortisolism, or Cushing's syndrome. Deposition of adipose tissue in the lower half of the face gives the face a circular appearance.

It is not a term which should be used in front of patients, since it is likely to cause offence.
